Tracy was a Caucasian man with long, brown hair and hazel eyes. He was five foot, ten inches tall, and weighed approximately 150 pounds. He was clean-shaven when he went missing, but had been known to wear a mustache. Tracy had a scar on his right elbow and another on his abdomen. He also had an unfinished Grim Reaper tattoo on his left forearm and a faded woman tattoo on his upper left shoulder.

What Investigators Found

Tracy was last seen exiting a white or cream-colored pickup truck in front of an army surplus store on Townsend Avenue in Montrose, Colorado. He was with another man who had blond hair.

Tracy had planned to go elk hunting with some of his friends on October 23, 1994. He didn’t contact his friends to confirm, nor did he let them know he was canceling his plans. The friends went hunting without him when he didn’t show.

On October 24, 1994, Tracy’s wife reported him missing when he didn’t return home as she was expecting.

There were reported sightings of Tracy after he was reported missing. Unfortunately, the police weren’t able to substantiate any of these.

Tracy’s vehicle was found to be parked at his home on South Sixth Street in Montrose, Colorado. His wallet was also found in the house. Nothing of Tracy’s appeared to be missing from the home.

Final Thoughts

There really isn’t a whole lot known about this case that I was able to dig up on the internet. Tracy was born on May 15, 1961. He has been missing for twenty-eight years and would be sixty-one as of 2022. Personally, I don’t think he would have abandoned his wife without taking any of his belongings with him.

I’m sure his wife and other family members would appreciate having any information they can on his whereabouts. Since Tracy went missing from tribal lands, I’m sure this hasn’t helped get information out to the public. I hope his family and friends get the closure they very much deserve.
